Dr Tisneem Mohamed is a qualified medical specialist in ophthalmology and a Fellow of the College of Ophthalmologists of South Africa since 2005.

She obtained her medical degree (MBBCh) from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1998, followed by internship and community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

Dr Mohamed subsequently completed her specialist registrar training in ophthalmology at the University of the Witwatersrand, qualifying as a specialist in 2006.

In recognition of her excellence in training, she was awarded the prestigious Elie Dahan Ophthalmic Surgery Prize for Best Registrar in Ophthalmology in 2005.

With over 20 years of experience in ophthalmology, Dr Mohamed provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Her areas of expertise include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye conditions, dry eye disease, strabismus (squint), and keratoconus.
